Created by hand, one at a time by the artisans of the ESP Custom Shop in Japan, the ESP Alexi Laiho Ripped guitar is the identical model designed and played by one of the most beloved and influential figures in metal music: Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom/Bodom After Midnight. The ESP Alexi Laiho Ripped is offered in an offset V shape with neck-thru-body construction at 25.5" scale. It features a three-piece thin U maple neck with a natural satin finish for smooth and fast playability, alder body wings and an ebony fingerboard. It includes an EMG HZ F-H2 passive humbucker in the bridge position, a ceramic high-gain pickup that offers excellent presence and clarity with a punchy response, as well as an EMG HZ S2 passive stacked single coil in the neck for just the right mix of mids with a clear and full low end. It also includes an ESP MM-04 active boost switch, a preamp circuit with adjustable EQ settings and up to +18dB of boost when you need it. The Alexi Laiho Ripped electric guitar also features high-end components like such as Gotoh locking tuners, ESP strap locks, a double-locking Floyd Rose Original bridge, a volume control, an inset three-way pickup selector and boost switch.
